Manchester Community Tour: Cross Keys

Several agencies filled the Cross Keys High School Auditorium on Friday June 26, 2015 for the Cross Keys DA Community Tour: “No Limits to Empowerment”.

The School welcomed the idea to host the tour on its grounds as it would not only cater to the wider community members but would be a direct catalyst for their students to access the information and services being offered by the various agencies.

On spot were Heart Trust STVET-Newport, Heart Trust NTA Regional Office, Jamaica Foundation for Lifelong Learning (JFLL), Northern Caribbean University Community Counseling & Restorative Justice Centre (CCRJC), Centre for the Investigation of Sexual Offences and Child Abuse (CISOCA) and the Jamaica Red Cross.

Scores of Students gathered at the STVET-Newport booth as they displayed animation and other technological advancements. The CISOCA booth was also a crowd favourite. Mrs. Jones from the Jamaica Red Cross was able to engage the participants in hands on CPR and First Aid Demonstration. Her presentation was very enlightening. From the Manchester Youth Information Centre we sincerely appreciate the agencies for their unwavering support and much appreciation to the cross Keys High School for hosting the Community Tour.
