Dwayne Brown

In 2001, Mr. Brown’s passion for sports had led him to work with youngsters in a high school football programme.  Since then he has been working in youth development. He joined the NCYD in 2006 and has served the youth of St Thomas, with the same passion over the years.

He studied at the University of the West Indies, where he pursued a BSc in Human Resource Development and a MSc in Hospitality and Tourism Management. His background has allowed him to train and guide young people in effective Interview and Resume Writing Skills as well as Event Planning and Management.




Since joining the YAPD in 2006 Dwayne has had several accomplishments, among which are:

  • The successful planning and execution of the first Eastern Youth Run
  • Bars to go training (June - Aug 2013)
  • Behaviour Modification Camp at Yallahs High
  • Discussions Re: Youth in Agriculture (2009 to present)
  • Rural Youth Employment Project (RUYE)
  • Event consultant for the Youth Opportunities Fair in 2012
