Miss Thomas has been working in youth development since 2014 through her high school's mentorship program;  and officially as an intern at Grace and Staff Community Development Foundation in 2018 before joining the YAPD in 2020. She joined the YAPD team in October 2020. 

 
With a Bsc. in Social Work from University of the West Indies, Ms. Thomas has a particular interest in:
 
  • Career Development 
  • Academic Development 
  • Youth and Community Development 
 
Since joining the Team Ms. Thomas was a team member in the execution of the Youth Month Empower Hour Series, which led to the featuring of participants in the Jamaica Gleaner. 
 
 
Message to the youth:
"Some opportunities may seem far fetched, but believe that you are bigger and stronger than any failure or setback. Take comfort in the notion of 'time & season' and know that your existence will never be insignificant."

The Ministry of Education, Youth and Information is in mandated to support Youth Organisations across Jamaica. In order to assist us in this task, we as that you do the following.

You will need to email the following documents to [email protected], as verification of the information provided:

1. List of all club members, outlining names and date of birth for each member
2. List of all executive members, inclusive of names, position, telephone numbers, email addresses for each executive member.
3. Copy of TRN for President and Secretary
4. Minutes of last meeting
