Nominations Open for Executive Posts on NSSC & JUTS

Secondary and tertiary student leaders have the opportunity to become executive members of the National Secondary Students’ Council (NSSC) and the Jamaica Union of Tertiary Students (JUTS). The NSSC and JUTS are the umbrella organisations for students’ councils at the secondary and tertiary levels respectively.

Through the NSSC and JUTS, student leaders have the opportunity to represent the interest of their peers and advocate on their behalf. Both national student-led organisations have the opportunity to network with Govenrment Ministries, Departments and Agencies, in addition to International Development Partners, and work to advance the interests of students in the secondary and tertiary systems.

The nomination period for both organisations have been open since February. The nomination period will end on March 8, 2017 for JUTS and March 15, 2017 for the NSSC.
