Simone Jackson-Brown

Miss Simone Jackson has been member of the NCYD team, as a YEO for Portland since 2006. She is the holde of a Bsc. in Management from the University of the West Indies and a MBA in Finance from the University of Technology, Jamaica.

Miss Jackson has particular interest in: 

  • Rural Youth in relation to education
  • Training and employment 
  • Youth with disability and the amenities available to them.

and also interest in administering training in the formal sense to others who provide similar services or to workers with social work portfolios.

As a YEO MissJackson has celebrated many achievements, including:

  • Facilitated the completion of a National Youth Club Audit in collaboration with SDC without or before the Memorandum of Understanding was agreed on.
  • Facilitated training of more than 450 persons, 98 % youth through the Bars to Go/ DIAGEO Learning for Life Programme.
  • Co-manage a fully operational Youth Information Centre with an average of 3000 monthly usership and over 70, 000 since 2007.
