Statutory Deductions
Statutory deductions are taxes that your company is required to take from your pay, and then pay over to the government. When you receive your payslip, you will realise that the following basic statutory deductions are taken from your pay:
- Income Tax
- National Insurance Scheme (NIS)
- National Housing Trust (NHT) and
- Education Tax.
