Minister of Youth and Culture Lisa Hanna has announced that the government will be creating more economic and social and opportunities for young Jamaicans through a combination of new initiatives and a major restructuring of existing youth programmes and departments of the Youth Ministry. The announcements were made during her Sectoral Debate presentation in Parliament on Tuesday, June 18.

Courts Jamaica is offering scholarships to Courts customers and their children. Twenty-nine (29) scholarships are being offered to GSAT students, with each being valued at JA$100,000 each. Additionally, ten (10) scholarships will be granted to tertiary students, each valued at JA$200,000. Youth enrolled in HEART/NTA Skills Training Programmes can apply to receive one of another ten (10) scholarships, valued at JA$50,000 each.
