  • Jamaica Social Investment Fund Tertiary Scholarships: Scholarships available through the Poverty Reduction Programme (PRP) for final year tertiary students from select  communities in Kingston, St. Andrew, St. Catherine, Clarendon and St. James. The deadline for applications is September 18, 2015 at 4:00p.m.
  • NCB Foundation Scholarships: Each year the N.C.B. Foundation paves the financial path for outstanding students to get a university education and assists hundreds of others with academic expenses through our Scholarships and Grants Programme. You can win a scholarship of up to $500,000 per year for the duration of your undergraduate studies on the basis of high academic performance, financial need, community spirit and strong leadership abilities.   • Ministry of Education Tertiary Scholarships: These are Scholarships/Awards that will be administered by the Tertiary Unit of the Ministry of Education for the 2013/14 academic year. The Awards are offered to Teachers/Students desirous of pursuing higher education.
  • Scotia Jamaica Foundation Scholarships: Each year the Foundation contributes millions of dollars in scholarships and bursaries to individuals who need financial assistance or who excel in academic performance.
  • Pocket Rocket Foundation Scholarships: The Scholarship will be open to all high school students from 2nd form (Grade 8) to 6th form (Lower and upper/ Grade 12 & 13) who participate in sports and express the need for financial assistance.   • Jamaica Energy Partners Scholarships: Jamaica Energy Partners (JEP) recognizes the need for academic advancement in order to foster economic development in Jamaica. The Company remains committed to assist in laying the building blocks for academic success in the parish of St. Catherine, in which it operates. Continue to check this website for information on the 2014 round of scholarships. Applications are usually in June.
  • Jamaica National Annual University Scholarship:  Each year a total of 15 tuition scholarships, five each, are awarded to students in specific areas of studies, who have completed at least one year of studies at The University of the West Indies, University of Technology and Northern Caribbean University. These scholarships are tenable for one year.Students, who are required to be members of the Jamaica National Building Society, are requested to apply for these scholarships through the scholarship office at their university.
  • ISA Endowment Fund: Applications are being invited from interested persons wishing to pursue graduate or post-doctoral studies in marine research activities. Successful candidates will be required to sign a bond to return to work in Jamaica for at least five (5) years to contribute to economic and social development . Applications are ongoing

International Scholarships:

  • Commonwealth Scholarships for Master & PHD students: Commonwealth Scholarships for Master’s and PhD study in the UK are offered for citizens of developing Commonwealth countries. These scholarships are funded by the UK Department for International Development (DFID). Deadline for Applications is October 2, 2015 at 3:00pm (JA time)
  • Joint Japan/World Bank Graduate Scholarships Program: Eligible applicants should propose a program of study related to development at the master's level, in fields such as economics, health, education, agriculture, environment, natural resource management, or other development‑related subject. The proposed program of study should start during the academic year 2015/2016 for a maximum duration of two years. The JJ/WBGSP does not support applicants who are already enrolled (i.e., taking classes) in graduate degree programs. Deadline for Application is 18 March at 12 noon EST
  • Commonwealth Scholarships Tenable in New Zealand: Applications are invited for Commonwealth Scholarships tenable at Universities in New Zealand for a period of two (2) years (Master’s) or three (3) years (PhD). Applications should be submitted to the Scholarships and Assistance Unit, Ministry of Finance and Planning. Deadline for Application is 10 April at 3.00pm
  • Chevening Awards: Chevening Scholarships are awarded to talented professionals who are potential future leaders, decision-makers and opinion formers. The scholarships offer financial support to study for a Master’s degree at one of the UK’s leading universities, and the opportunity to become part of an influential and highly regarded global network.Deadline for Application is 15 November at 23:59 GMT.
  • ACI Foundation Fellowship: Fellowships offered to high-potential undergraduate and graduate students in engineering, architecture, construction management, and other appropriate curricula within the concrete field.Deadline for Applications is October 12, 2014.
  • Granier Canada Graduate Scholarships: The Vanier Canada Graduate Scholarships (Vanier CGS) program helps Canada's universities attract sought-after doctoral students from across Canada and around the world. These promising scholars help to create a dynamic and innovative environment within our university campuses. Many will stay to pursue academic and professional careers in Canada, helping to foster innovation and creating future leaders. Deadline for Applications is November 5, 2014
  • Government of Mexico Scholarships: Under the framework of the bilateral cooperation programme between Mexico and Jamaica, and the initiatives of Cooperation offered by Mexico to the Caribbean Community (CARICOM), and the Association of Caribbean States (ACS), the Government of Mexico annually offers a comprehensive programme of scholarships to Jamaican nationals to undertake complete programmes of Specialization, master's or PhD degrees, and Postgraduate researches. Continue to check this website for information on the 2014 round of scholarships.   • Australia Awards: Australia’s international development assistance in the Caribbean aims to assist in building Caribbean countries’ own capacity to progress towards the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) by reducing their vulnerability to the impacts of climate change, natural disasters and economic challenges. Australia Awards are aligned with Australia’s development assistance in the Caribbean, targeting human resource gaps in identified priority sectors. AusAID will assess applicants for their professional and personal qualities, academic competence and, most importantly, their potential to impact on development challenges in the Caribbean. Continue to check this website for information on the 2014 round of scholarships.   • OFID (OPEC) Scholarships: OFID (The OPEC Fund for International Development) is pleased to announce that qualified applicants who have obtained or are on the verge of completing their undergraduate degree and who wish to study for a Master's degree are welcome to apply for the OFID Scholarship 2013. The OFID Scholarship will be awarded to support students or candidates for Master’s degree studies. The applicant must be from a developing country, and he/she must first obtain admission to pursue a Master's (graduate) degree in any recognized university/college in the world. The Scholarship is open to those students who wish to pursue studies in a relevant field of Development or Energy Studies. The winner of the OFID Scholarship Award will receive a tuition support of up to US$50,000. Continue to check this website for information on the 2014 round of scholarships.   • OAS Scholarship (Undergraduate):  The OAS academic scholarships for undergraduate studies are offered for full time studies in any English-Speaking Caribbean Member State from the OAS, with the exception of the candidate’s sponsoring country.The OAS scholarship is awarded for the last two years of study leading to an undergraduate degree (Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent), in universities of the OAS Member States.
